2. 14-Day Peace of Mind Guarantee

We understand that plans can change.

For bookings made more than 65 days before departure, you may cancel within 14 calendar days of making your booking and receive a full refund of all monies paid.

Bookings made within 65 days of departure are not eligible for the 14-day cooling-off period.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

3. Our Traveller Promise

Life happens. Plans change. That's okay.

If your plans change after the 14-day cooling-off period, we don't want you to lose the value of your booking.

We'll happily convert your booking into a travel credit that never expires and can be used on any future HEY GC or Curious Compass Collective tour, event or experience.

This approach allows us to confidently secure accommodation, transport, experiences and local partners well in advance, helping us deliver the high-quality journeys our travellers expect.

We're building a community of curious travellers, not simply selling tours.

Whether your next adventure is in a few months or a few years, your credit will be waiting for you.

Your journey can be postponed. It doesn't have to be lost.

4. If You Need to Cancel

If you cancel your booking after the 14-day cooling-off period and before your tour begins:

  • Your booking value will be converted into a travel credit.
  • Travel credits never expire.
  • Travel credits can be used on any future HEY GC or Curious Compass Collective experience.
  • Travel credits may be transferred to another traveller with our approval.
  • Any unused balance remains available for future use.

Once a tour has started, unused portions of the tour, accommodation, meals, activities or transport cannot be refunded or credited.

5. If We Need to Cancel

If we cancel a tour or experience due to circumstances within our control, you may choose:

  • A full refund; or
  • A travel credit for the full amount paid.

Refunds will be processed as soon as reasonably practical.

6. Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Sometimes events occur that are beyond anyone's control.

Examples may include:

  • Natural disasters
  • Extreme weather events
  • Flooding
  • Bushfires
  • Road closures
  • Government restrictions
  • Public health emergencies
  • Supplier failures
  • Industrial action
  • Other force majeure events

If a tour cannot proceed because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, we may provide:

  • A travel credit for the full amount paid; or
  • A refund less any unrecoverable costs already committed on your behalf.

Whenever possible, we will work with travellers to achieve a fair and reasonable outcome.

Private room upgrades may be available on selected tours and may attract an additional charge.

From time to time, accommodation may need to change due to operational requirements. Where this occurs, we will endeavour to provide accommodation of a similar standard.

  • Substitute accommodation
  • Alter transport arrangements

Where practical, comparable alternatives will be provided.

Photographs and videos may be taken during our tours and experiences.

By participating, you grant permission for images and video that include your likeness to be used in future marketing, promotional and community materials.

If you prefer not to appear in promotional content, please notify us before the tour begins.

17. Feedback & Concerns

If something does not meet your expectations, we encourage you to let your tour host know during the experience so we have an opportunity to help.

If further review is required, concerns should be submitted in writing within 14 days of the completion of the tour.

18. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.

Where Australian Consumer Law applies, those rights prevail.
