Free field guide
A practical pre-trip field guide to the rhythms, swimming holes, gorge days and big-sky evenings that make the Kimberley unforgettable.
Pack in soft-sided bags and use packing cubes: camp days are easier when your warm layer, swimmers and torch are always in the same place.
A head torch, closed-toe walking shoes and reef shoes cover most camp, gorge and water-edge situations without overpacking.
Treat a gorge walk as your own day, not a race. Carry water, take the shade breaks offered and tell your guides early if you need a gentler option.
Dust is part of a Kimberley road trip, but it need not be a nuisance: a light scarf, zip bag for electronics and a spare shirt are usually enough.
After a swimming-hole day, dry your shoes outside your tent or room and keep a separate dry bag for wet gear. Tomorrow will feel far more relaxed.
Remote travel feels safer when you ask questions before you need help. Your guide team is there for exactly that—water, walking pace and camp comfort included.
